Caderousse Vignette - In the south of France, in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône, the Pays d'Orange Provence is the ideal place to stay and discover the beauty and richness of Provence's heritage and culture. This small village of 2526 inhabitants, built on an ancient loop of the Rhône, is entirely surrounded by a three-meter-high dike that has protected it from flooding for several centuries and is the pride of the village. In the 20th century, the discovery of marble fragments engraved with the land register dating back to 77 A.D. showed that the village had retained the same layout as when it was inhabited by the Cavares.
